Not I but Christ: Tales of Humility

"hubris (hyoo-bris) n. wanton insolence or arrogance resulting from excessive pride or from passion." So says Webster's. And so says much of society today. Have you ever heard a political candidate say "I'm not the best one for the office," or a movie star say, "I'm not the best one for the part," or a sports hero say, "I'm not the best one for the position?" Problem is, all of us have contracted a "hubris infection" of sorts, now haven't we? And problem is, if this infection isn't cured, it's lethal. Which makes the stories of cured people a must read.
